The president of the Municipal Sports Foundation and councilor of Sports of the City of Valencia, Maite Girau, yesterday visited the facilities of the Institute of Biomechanics of Valencia (IBV) together with the managing director of the Municipal Sports Foundation of Valencia, José Vicente Berlanga. Both had the opportunity to share with the IBV managing director, Javier Sánchez and the Sport innovation director of the IBV , Enrique Alcántara. This meeting took place within the framework of the consolidated relations of collaboration between the three institutions.
Last week, the European project “Erasmus + Teleturf”, led by the FDM and collaborated by the IBV to improve the conditions and quality of the artificial turf sports fields, was made public. In addition, the IBV will also make a report on the Tatar status of the Estadi del Turia.
As a result of this collaboration, the FDM ceded some municipal sports facilities to FIFA for the selection trials of official artificial turf field certification laboratories, in which the IBV participated as a benchmark for innovation in sports surfaces. Technology and innovation go hand in hand with sport and, for that reason, the Municipal Sport Foundation and IBV will continue their relationship in the future.
